MORDEC ACP SYSTEM
MORDEC Panama Canal System including the Panama Chocks, Double Bitt Bollards and the Pedestal Fairlead Rollers is designed in compliance with the modification requirements for vessels with a length of more than 294.13m or breadth of more than 32.31m intending to transit the Panama Canal through the new extended locks.
In accordance with OP Notice to Shipping No.N-1 (Vessel Requirements) Paragraph 8.a (5), all chocks for the Panamax Plus and New Panamax vessels shall be double chocks, shall have a throat opening of not less than 900 square centimetres and shall be capable of withstanding a SWL of 90 tons in towing operations and a SWL of 64 tons in mooring operations.
