MORDEC MOORING ROPE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

The MORDEC Mooring Rope Management (MRM) Program, was developed together with DSR Corp, to assist vessel owners to manage their Mooring Lines.

The Mordec MRM Program aims to provide a guide to vessel operators on:

The Regular Inspection and Evaluation of the Ropes

• Providing information, procedures and a checklist to inspect mooring rope and to establish criteria for evaluation
• Assisting inspectors to make reasonable decisions regarding retirement or continued use, including repairing or downgrading
• Providing Inspection Tools including the Mordec Brake Test Kit for Mooring Winches

The Maintenance for the Ropes

• Providing maintenance packages including the Mordec Mooring Rope Protector to keep the mooring rope in its peak condition

Storage & Supply

• Manages the Storage and Supply of the mooring ropes for the fleet of vessels
