MEP Deck Solutions (MEP) organized a Seminar, IMOX 2023 @ Batam – Network Xchange 2023, at the Radisson Golf & Convention Center. Guests from BSOA, IPERINDO, Shipyards, Ship Suppliers as well as Ship Owners were invited to the Seminar.
The Seminar was held in conjunction with the Indonesia Marine & Offshore Expo (IMOX) 2023, an international maritime and offshore event that brings an international congregation of companies together in Indonesia’s largest shipbuilding industry, Batam.
During the Seminar, MEP presented the MORDEC Anchoring, Mooring & Towing System Integration
Whereby Shipyards and Ship Owners were recommended to:
- Adopt the MORDEC Next Generation of Chain Solutions to reduce the number of weak links
- Purchase the Equipment & Machinery together with the non-technical items (such as Anchor, Chain, Wire, Mooring Ropes, etc.), so that we can test the suitability of the application and match the compatibility of both machinery and these fittings.
The Guests were also informed of the new SOLAS II-I Regulation 3-8 “Safe Mooring” which enters into force on 1st Jan 2024. Guidelines will be a retroactive requirement and will therefore affect existing vessels.
